Rewind & Reset

The Background

The 21st century is a far cry from the 20th, and even more so compared to the years before that. Comparing the societal norms of today to even just a decade ago would yield very distinct differences.

Surely, there are many things in the past that should and could have been done differently if time can be turned back. Technology would have progressed at a more rapid pace, for one. However, one cannot assume that ALL aspects of the present are an improvement over the past.

Hence, join us at Heriot-Watt University Malaysia to discover the actions of the past that should have been done differently if we could rewind time— and the perspectives of the present that should be reset.

What is tedx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxHeriotWattUMalaysia, where x = independently organized TED event.

At our TEDxHeriotWattUMalaysia event, TED Talks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
